Netflix crashing? Try some free audio books!

Written by on March 28, 2020

According to the New York Daily News as of Wednesday, March 25th, Netflix has been crashing.  Mostly in Europe, but people in the U.S. have been experiencing outages.  Another option is to, gasp, read a book.  However with the increasing popularity of audio books Audible has seen a spike in commerce.  Whilst the $14.95 a month membership is sadly a luxury for most of us, Audible did something this week that’s pretty spectacular.  Free listening!

Many of the titles are for younger listeners, a good idea for those with children, with a nice selection for adults as well.  Mainly classics like Moby Dick, and Pride and Prejudice, there are some other gems there.  The Tween section has a handful of well done fantasy novels, including a Minecraft adventure.  My personal favorite is ‘Flight of the Dragon Kyn‘ by Susan Fletcher.

Regardless, peruse their offerings.  They’re FREE to listen!  Seriously, no sign-ups, no logins, nada.  Start listening at Audible!
